Controlled-Impedance Cables Provide High-Quality Signals

Built for speed and accuracy, GORE® CAN Bus Cables reliably send high-quality signals for secure data transmission up to 1 GHz while maintaining 120-ohm controlled impedance. Our cables endure whatever conditions they encounter, from rapid temperature changes and repeated vibration to trouble-free routing.

Features & Benefits
More Durable in Challenging Environments

We construct GORE CAN Bus Cables with exceptional features that protect against demanding operational and maintenance conditions, including:

  • temperature- and abrasion-resistant materials
  • chemically inert materials
  • inverted dielectric aerospace design

Inverted Dielectric Aircraft Design

With Gore’s unique inverted dielectric, aircraft maintainers don’t have to remove insulation from the end and apply heat shrink, which makes wire prep and insertion into smaller connectors and holes much easier.

These cables offer many benefits that improve their overall performance in civil aircraft and defense aircraft and vehicles like:

  • high-quality signals for fast, secure data transmission up to 1 GHz
  • proven controlled impedance at 120 ohms
  • versatile protection against extreme mechanical and environmental stress
  • ultralight footprint up to 40% less weight than leading alternatives
  • trouble-free routing with improved flexibility and reduced bend radii
  • easier wire prep and insertion in smaller aircraft connector systems
  • compatible with a variety of high-speed connector systems and backshells

Up to 40% lighter

Gore’s Ultralight version features a compact footprint up to 40% less weight than leading alternatives and 20% less weight than our standard design.

GORE CAN Bus Cables are suitable for today’s faster avionics and vetronics digital networks and other applications requiring secure, accurate, and constant high data rate transfer like:

  • avionics & vetronics digital networks
  • cabin management systems
  • controller area networks (CAN Bus)
  • electrical wiring interconnection system (EWIS)
  • data links
  • electronic diagnostics
  • mission systems
  • serial buses

Our cables can also be terminated with a variety of leading high-speed connector systems and backshells, like ARINC and MIL-STD-38999 with size 8 and 22D contacts.
