Ensure Reliable Electrification with Gore Wire

GORE® High Performance Wires meet higher durability levels for electrical wires operating in extreme environments. Chemically inert and non-flammable, they won’t ever degrade after coming in contact with harsh chemicals or humidity. Our high-strength wires even resist chafing, abrasion and cut-through over wide temperatures.

Long-Term Durability & EWIS Reliability

Unlike common insulation materials, GORE High Performance Wires offer unique features that provide long-term stability against harsh environmental factors and operational conditions, including:

  • low-permittivity, higher PDIV/PDEV material
  • temperature-resistant, chemically inert, non-flammable materials
  • abrasion- and cut-through resistant layers
  • hydrophobic, non-hydrolyzing material

Our reliable power wires deliver numerous benefits that meet aerospace and defense electrification needs and requirements, like:

  • high-strength insulation resists chafing, abrasion and cut-through over temperatures
  • repel chemicals and fire for increased safety and improved system performance
  • proven higher PDIV/PDEV and less voltage breakdown for improved electrical durability
  • longer service life due to hydrophobic, hydrolyzing material with no degradation
  • greater EWIS reliability, increased aircraft and vehicle availability, and reduced costs
  • increased future-proofing with wires that can withstand higher voltage requirements

Commercial Aircraft

Gore’s high-performance cable wires can withstand higher voltage requirements, improve durability and increase safety in current and next-gen all-electric commercial aircraft.

Compare GORE High Performance Wires against other defense and aerospace wire materials to better understand critical attributes and overall performance. Note that current wiring solutions either contain polyimide or show limitations in physical and electrical properties.

The yellow symbol indicates good overall abrasion test results. But, the underlying polyimide is quickly exposed, which risks degradation, arc tracking and more. Any Improvements to these materials will likely involve increasing wire size and weight.
