Highest Protection for High Data Rate Copper Wires

GORE® Abrasion Resistant Cable Jacket meets new and existing standards for packaging high data rate wires without sacrificing size, weight or signal transmission performance. Made of a revolutionary fluoropolymer fiber material, our rugged jacket eliminates additional protective sleeving for copper wires installed seats.

Features & Benefits
Applications
Cut-Through Resistance

Thinner, Lighter & More Flexible

Outperforming common industry materials, GORE Abrasion Resistant Cable Jacket offers added features for packaging copper wires, including:

  • revolutionary fluoropolymer fiber material
  • abrasion- and cut-through resistant material
  • chemically inert material
  • thinner, lighter, highly flexible design

Our pioneering cable jacket provides more benefits for best-in-class protection against typical airborne and land conditions, like:

  • meets strict EN3475 and SAE AS4373™ durability requirements
  • superior resistance against abrasion, cut-through, high temperatures and more
  • eliminates protective sleeving required for copper wires installed in seats
  • allows copper wires to transmit high-speed data and video reliably
  • contributes to valuable aircraft and vehicle weight savings
  • easier, faster routing because of more flexibility and tighter bending
  • ideal for packaging GORE High Speed Data Cables or industry alternatives

Gore abrasion resistant cable jacket is cut-through resistant at high temperatures

Cut-Through Resistance at High Temperatures

We used SAE AS4373™, Method 703, to compare our 100-ohm high-speed quadrax cables wrapped with our rugged cable jacket against alternatives.

As expected, GORE Abrasion Resistant Cable Jacket drastically outperformed PFA and FEP materials for superior cut-through resistance at high temperatures without cracking, splitting or breaking. Our cable jacket ensures copper wires transmit data and video reliably in the intended application.
