An Award Winning Gore Technology
GORE™ High Temperature Capacitors earn global honors
GORE™ High Temperature Capacitors took home this year’s global Plunkett award for excellence in fluoropolymer innovation. With applications in the oilfield services and aerospace industries, Gore’s innovation enables a film dielectric, known for reliability, to be used in a temperature range not previously possible. Gore is working with leaders in oilfield and aerospace innovation to put the capacitors to use in these industries.
The New GORE™ ImproJect™ Plunger
Addressing the Challenge of Silicone-Sensitive Biologics
Biologic drugs are at the forefront of biomedical research. Developed to treat complex diseases like cancer and rheumatoid arthritis, they are typically administered by injection. However, some biologics can negatively interact with silicone, a common lubricant within a pre-filled syringe delivery system. The new GORE™ ImproJect™ Plunger eliminates the need for silicone in both plunger and glass barrel, while ensuring the functionality and performance of pre-filled syringes.
New GORE-TEX® 3D Fit Footwear Technology
Fitting like a sock
Lightweight elastic shoes are gaining traction. Not surprisingly, as they effectively contour to the shape of the foot to provide enhanced comfort. The new GORE-TEX® 3D fit footwear technology also delivers waterproofness, windproofness and breathability.
Unveiled at this summer’s OutDoor Retailer Show in Denver, CO, first models will be available in-store and online beginning in February 2019.

People are taking their devices everywhere and through all conditions, subjecting them to temperature changes, rapid altitude and pressure shifts, compression of sensitive touchscreens and even immersion in liquids. Over time, this can put stress on housing seals allowing water and contaminants to enter device, and create pressure build-ups in acoustic cavities causing transducer bias, compromising acoustic quality and eventually damaging the transducer.
ELKTON, Md (November 27, 2018) - People are taking their smartphones and other portable electronic devices everywhere and through all conditions, subjecting devices to temperature changes, rapid altitude and pressure shifts, compression of sensitive touchscreens and even immersion in liquids.
