Smaller Wires Deliver Reliable Power & Signals

GORE® Hook-Up Wires provide robust protection in less space without short-circuiting. They withstand extreme temperature changes, among other challenging air, space and defense conditions. Our smaller, lighter wires deliver reliable power and signals for long-lasting performance, weight savings, less maintenance and reduced total cost.

Longer Product Life

GORE Hook-Up Wires bring specialized features for longer product life in extreme aerospace and defense conditions, including:

  • temperature-stable, chemically inert materials
  • cut-through and abrasion resistance
  • ATOX- and radiation-tolerant layers
  • non-outgassing, low-creep wire insulation
  • smaller, lighter wire diameters

Reliable Performance

Our standard hook-up wires for aircraft, spacecraft and military applications offer many benefits, like:

  • reliable power distribution in wide voltage ratings with excellent signal integrity
  • robust protection against extreme temps, shock, vibration, chemicals, more
  • superior cut-through and abrasion resistance than NEMA wires
  • more than 30% smaller than NEMA wires for more payload and cargo
  • easier routing due to smaller, lighter, more flexible designs with tighter bending
  • less wire failure, maintenance, downtime and total overall costs

Air & Defense

GORE Hook-Up Wires are engineered to perform reliably in a variety of air and defense applications, including:

  • avionics & vetronics
  • digital & analog data links
  • radar systems
  • radio & communications systems
  • surveillance & reconnaissance

NewSpace

Well-suited for low-earth orbit (LEO) missions, our standard hook-up wires distribute reliable, safe power with low-frequency signals in a variety of applications, like:

  • DC power distribution
  • electric power supplies
  • microgravity experiments
  • optical instruments

Smaller Wire Design

With thinner insulation, GORE Hook-Up Wires are significantly smaller and require less space, more than 30%, than a standard NEMA HP3 Type E wire. Wire by wire, they directly impact saving weight for more payload and cargo in aircraft, spacecraft and military vehicles.

Greater Mechanical Strength

Using ASTM D3032 sections 16 & 17, we compared our wires to leading NEMA wires. Results proved that the overall tensile strength of our hook-up wires was much higher and didn't break or fail at lower temperatures like the other wires.
