NEWARK, DEL., USA (FEBRUARY 2026) — W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore), a global materials science company with deep capabilities in aerospace and defense, announced today that it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 Final Certificate of Status following a C3PAO-led assessment, validating the company’s implementation of cybersecurity practices aligned to the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) within the defined assessed environment.
Advancing secure defense collaboration
CMMC is the U.S. Department of Defense’s framework for assessing contractor cybersecurity practices for safeguarding sensitive information across the Defense Industrial Base. CMMC Level 2 incorporates the security requirements of NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2 for protecting CUI. Achieving Level 2 Final status reinforces Gore’s long-standing commitment to disciplined security practices, risk management, and operational resiliency.
