Overview

As the aerospace industry is demanding faster digital networks with increased performance, Ethernet interconnects need to provide more reliable signal integrity and deliver high-speed data transmission over longer distances.

GORE Aerospace Ethernet Cables are engineered for the increasing data demands of modern airborne digital networks. They exceed Cat6a electrical requirements and deliver reliable signal integrity with sufficient margin for high-speed data transmission up to 10 gigabits over longer distances.

Smaller Cat6a Cable Diameter

Our cables can significantly reduce weight while maintaining reliable signal integrity. They have a unique design that is 24% smaller and 25% lighter than standard Cat6a cables. Gore’s engineered fluoropolymer materials enable this cable (26 AWG) to fit into a size 8 contact.

The excellent signal integrity of our cables can enable utilization of smaller gauge cables in your system architecture. Because of their electrical performance and long transmission distances, these cables can reduce the need for additional signal amplification — further decreasing weight and power requirements.

Easier Installation

GORE Aerospace Ethernet Cables can also be easily retrofitted into existing aircraft structures because they’re smaller and more flexible with a tighter bend radius for easy routing in confined spaces.

All of this translates to lower attenuation, minimal crosstalk, improved shielding effectiveness and easy installation to ensure system performance over the life of the aircraft.
