Gore Wins Excellence in Avionics Award for

LANDENBERG, Pa. (June 17, 2015) – W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. (Gore) has been named the Vertical Impact: Military winner at the Excellence in Avionics Awards, honoring the high achievements of individuals, organizations, teams and projects that are elevating the aviation industry.
Gore received the Vertical Impact: Military award for its new GORE-FLIGHT™ Microwave Assemblies, 6 Series. The company was honored for its product innovation and ongoing work with end users and OEMs to improve performance of current and new platforms, as well as system upgrades. GORE-FLIGHT™ Microwave Assemblies, 6 Series were recognized for providing the most cost-effective solution that ensures mission-critical system performance for military and civil applications.
The first annual Excellence in Avionics Awards program focused on companies that are driving the aviation industry forward, from social awareness to environmental impact, to individual accomplishments and career dedication. More than 100 entries were received this year, from a wide array of companies across multiple verticals from a variety of industries and geographic regions.
Excellence in Avionics honors were presented in eleven categories, including Safety Systems Innovation, Social Media Campaign of the Year, Youth Recruitment and Development, Giving Back, Environmental Impact, Vertical Impact Award: General Business and Aviation, Vertical Impact Award: Military, Most Valuable Player, Lifetime Achievement, In-Flight Connectivity, and Technology Company of the Year.
