AIRMAX VS Cable Assemblies

GORE™ AIRMAX VS® Assemblies allow high data rate signals to be transmitted over greater distances with exceptional fidelity and reliability. As an extension to Gore's well established 2mm product family, this cable assembly has been optimized to transmit signals up to 10 Gigabits per second. GORE™ AIRMAX VS® Assemblies were developed in conjunction with FCI and are plug compatible with all licensed suppliers of AIRMAX VS.


The patented AIRMAX VS connector technology allows for high performance interconnections without having to incorporate a complex array of expensive metal shielding. Impedance control and cross-talk protection is achieved by controlling the geometry and air spacing. The result is an assembly with excellent signal integrity at a reasonable cost.

GORE™ AIRMAX VS® Assemblies will come in a variety of configurations to support the different versions of AirMax backplane connectors, as they become available. These assemblies can be further customized for pin out, cable type, and latching features to suit the application.

Gore Cable

Gore cable assemblies incorporate automated manufacturing, innovative designs and unique materials to provide the most consistently high performing interconnects. By manufacturing our own bulk cable, Gore can tailor solutions for maximum bandwidth or longest use length. GORE™ AIRMAX VS®  Assemblies utilize cable manufactured with Expanded PTFE dielectric to achieve the lowest loss or smallest sized constructions. For the most demanding applications, assemblies can be provided with GORE™ EYE-OPENER® AIRMAX VS® Technology to extend the reach length by up to 70% compared to standard cables.
