Extended Water Entry Pressure Test Guideline

The guidelines are based on Gore’s best practices in eWEP (extended Water Entry Pressure) testing for GORE® Portable Electronic Vents. Please follow the guidelines to conduct the eWEP testing to minimize water leakage failures caused by test issues.

Various Protective Vents products

To ensure that our products deliver the performance and reliability that you expect, we conduct various tests and use key performance indicators during vent production.

Image of app note

This application note provides data demonstrating high productivity, extended cycling durability performance of membrane-based GORE Protein Capture Devices with Protein A across two rapid Clean-in-Place methods bracketing caustic contact time and concentration. These data were then combined with results from a manufacturing-scale demonstration to extrapolate protein capture capabilities at a 2000 L batch bioreactor size across CIP methods.

White Paper On Gore’s Tethered Drone Cables

Also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones have become commonplace in commercial and defense applications, but as the technology continues to evolve, so does a shift in power management systems. Drones that once ran on high energy density batteries with limited flight time are now being redesigned to rely on high-performing cables, which use a battery backup and offer unlimited flight time.

Protein A Membrane Devices Upstream Technology AGC Biologics

An intensified and fully single use downstream operation was demonstrated to process a monoclonal antibody cell culture harvest at a manufacturing scale.  The results of the study were combined with previously published data to show the potential for high productivity affinity capture sufficient up to 10 g/L titers at the 2000 L scale.

Improving Cables Performance in Harsh Environments thumbnail

W. L. Gore & Associates examines constraints that may have an impact on cable performance. Also examined is the process involved in selecting the right materials based on sufficient testing to verify cables will survive and perform reliably in the harshest environments.

Gore Aerospace Cables and Materials

Aircraft weight savings is an important design and modernization consideration to increase payload, fuel efficiency, range and time on station. W. L. Gore & Associates offers reliable solutions that reduce the size and weight of copper, fiber optic and coaxial cables.

It Pays to Compare: Extended Lifetime, Increased Profitability

GORE® Protective Vents vs. Common Venting Solutions

As the name says, Gore Protective Vents enable pressure equalization through venting with the key feature of ingress protection. Other venting technologies have limits to protecting against the ingress of dust and moisture.

Icon for thermal insulation technical note

GORE® Thermal Insulation has unique properties of low thickness (< 300 μm) with conductivity less than air (< 0.02 W/(m•K) ) and therefore presents challenges in characterization. A test methodology incorporating a modified heat flow method, ex-situ thickness method, and two thickness conductivity calculation is used to provide reliable and accurate thermal conductivity data. Conductivity results show the distribution of data falls below the conductivity specification of 0.02 W/(m•K).

Reduce Condensation

Technical Information

As LED lighting proliferates in automotive applications, so does condensation. That’s because LED lamps’ heat source is at the rear of the assembly, making the lens area the cold spot where condensation forms most easily. Often with unpleasant results: foggy, cloudy or streaky lenses, and lamps that don’t shine as brightly as when they left the showroom. Condensation could also compromise integrated sensors or other electronic devices.
