Aircraft sealing and surface protection

W. L. Gore & Associates’ complete line of aerospace materials is tested, qualified, and backed by over 20 years of success in civil and defense applications. Whenever the aircraft panel, fairing or faying surface is removed, GORE® SKYFLEX® Aerospace Materials must be inspected for any damage or improper installation to ensure the integrity of their sealing ability. The aircraft structure should also be inspected for any corrosion before reinstalling the panel.

For decades, W. L. Gore & Associates has offered GORE® SKYFLEX® Aerospace Tapes which effectively seal aircraft panels and protect against corrosion. To ensure they perform optimally and minimize the damage caused by vibration and other mechanical forces, Gore's aerospace tapes must be installed properly. They do not require cure time and remain flexible and compliant over multiple open/close cycles, retaining the characteristics critical to the integrity of the application.
