An award-winning company, Inflight Peripherals Ltd (IFPL) serves the global in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) industry with passenger interface solutions for civil aircraft applications. Its designers sought to manufacture an at-seat module that would meet USB 3.0 protocol and deliver high power and reliable data transfer, ultimately enabling passengers to interface with the aircraft’s in-flight entertainment (IFC) system and charge their portable devices. Because a smaller module had to be designed to fit inside a very compact area compliantly, IFPL partnered with W. L.
