GORE™ Medical Membranes have consistently proven to be a reliable barrier to bacterial and viral contamination (efficiency>99.99%), while still maintaining airflow for both medical filter and vent applications. The membranes incorporate expanded PTFE (ePTFE) membrane technology which is coupled through lamination to a robust membrane support to facilitate easy integration into a variety of device designs and housing materials for medical filtration and venting applications.

GORE™ Membranes can be readily processed in automated manufacturing environments by clamping, heat sealing, ultrasonic welding and high frequency (radio frequency) welding. GORE™ Membranes come in a variety of product forms including slit to width rolls and custom cut parts in different pore sizes, and can be steam and EtO sterilized. In addition, in many applications, the membranes can also be radiation sterilized.
