1. Before installing bags, brush underside of pulse-pipes

If pulse-pipes are clean when installed, then any dust accumulating on them from leaking bags can easily be seen by placing a small mirror on a rod and inspecting the underside of the pipes.

2. Clean tube sheets and pulse bags before running black light test

Dust on dirty tube sheets can make it difficult to isolate the source of dust leaks. Be sure to thoroughly clean tube sheets before doing black light testing. Holes in filter bags can eventually plug up from dust. This prevents leaks from being detected during testing. To avoid this, pulse bags 1-3 times to clear out plugs before doing the black light test.

3. Install bag leak detection system and coordinate pulsing

By coordinating bag pulsing sequences with your leak detector you can narrow the search for leaking bags to a specific row or set of bags being pulsed.
