Reliable Sealing & Surface Protection

GORE SKYFLEX Aerospace Materials effectively seal panels and protect against mechanical forces and harsh environments that can damage aircraft structures, like vibration, corrosion, high temperatures, aggressive fluids, UV radiation, and other environmental hazards that tend to break down and weaken traditional materials. Also, unlike traditional two-component materials, our materials are lightweight, non-curing, and simplify the process by reducing installation steps.

GORE SKYFLEX Aerospace Tapes

Environmental Sealing

Effective sealing and surface protection against environmental contaminants and mechanical forces like vibration, abrasion, chafing and corrosion.

  • 700 Series: Best combination of material properties for most environment sealing applications, such as access panels or leading edges.
  • 200 Series: Great for sealing applications that require gap filling greater than 1mm, such as composite fay surfaces and floorboards.
  • 110 Series: Ribbed tape ideal for applications with big gaps and/or very low compressive forces, such as floorboards and access panels.

Surface Protection

Excels at protecting surface edges from abrasion, cut-through, vibration, anti-chafe and corrosion.

  • 700 Series: Excels at protecting structures from high vibration or repeated access, such as helicopter panels and wing-to-body fairings.
  • 1600 Series: Best used for protecting structural surfaces that require no compressive force. Also very good for protecting structures that are frequently accessed for maintenance.
Surface Protection Tape

Hydraulic and Engine Oil Protection

Superior sealing and surface protection against harsh aviation fluids and other mechanical forces.

  • 730 Series: Proven to effectively repel hydraulic fluids, like SKYDROL®, engine and turbine oils, and deicing fluids. Also, excellent at protecting applications from vibration, abrasion and chafing. Best for access panel and fairings where hydraulic or engine oil contamination could occur.

Fuel Sealing Protection

Exceptional sealing and surface protection against hydrocarbons and other mechanical forces

  • 720 Series: Designed precisely for areas with direct and repeated exposure to fuel and related oils. Also, durably protects structures from vibration, abrasion, and chafing. For continuous sealing of fuel, gaskets are recommended. Best in access panels and other fay surfaces subject to splash of fuel or engine oils.

Environmental Sealing

Excellent sealing and surface protection against environmental contaminants and mechanical forces like vibration, abrasion, chafing and corrosion. Gaskets used to facilitate installation of complex shapes.

  • 700 Series: Best combination of material properties for most applications and great for applications with high compressive forces. Excels at protecting structures from high vibration or repeated access. Ideal for access panels and wing-to-body fairings.
  • 500 Series: Ideal for applications that require gaskets over 19 in (482.6 mm) or gaps greater than 1mm. Ideal for access panels and wing-to-body fairings.

Excels at sealing and protecting surfaces from jet fuel exposure and other mechanical forces like vibration, abrasion, corrosion anti-chafe.

  • 720 Series: Designed precisely for areas with direct and repeated exposure to fuel and related oils. Also, durably protects structures from vibration, abrasion, and chafing. Best in access panels and other fay surfaces subject to continuous exposure to fuel or engine oils.
  • 520 Series: Best used for applications that require gaskets over 18 in (457.2 mm) with continuous exposure to fuel or engine oils.
