With data rates continuing to rise, fiber optic cables must be able to reliably transfer large amounts of data in a split second between mission systems so ground troops can maintain communications.

We offer a variety of GORE Fiber Optic Cables that can easily accommodate the military's bandwidth-intensive applications. Our cables deliver failure-free signal transmission to send vital data instantly in the toughest environments warfighters face on the battleground. From Simplex to ribbon versions, our robust cables ensure maximum situational awareness and operational success.

IMPRESSIVE LEVEL OF ROBUSTNESS IN SPACE-SAVING DESIGNS

We've developed proprietary technologies that allow fluoropolymers to be engineered so our cables can endure both the environmental and mechanical challenges they encounter throughout the vehicle’s service life. Each version has a high level of robustness that tolerates rigorous installation, severe vibration, weather/temperatures changes, varying landscapes/geographies, and more.

Our single- and multi-mode fiber optic cables are also smaller and lighter weight without sacrificing mechanical strength. Plus, they're more flexible with tighter bending capability and won't break or fail during routing in cramped areas.

1.8 mm Simplex

We designed our most popular Simplex version with a remarkable dual buffering system that resists crushing, kinking, and abrasion while maintaining excellent signal integrity before/after installation. When tested, results proved that our cables provided greater crush resistance unmatched by the leading alternatives. Our cables allow for lower force to move the fiber under compression while still maintaining excellent signal transmission. These single-/multi-mode cables deliver improved reliability and longevity in a robust design without sacrificing size or weight.

This version of our Simplex cables has a rugged buffering system that withstands extreme temperatures, shock, vibration, and tension that can severely impact overall system performance in ground combat/support vehicles. These single-/multi-mode fiber optic cables deliver stable optical performance for high data rate transfer in the most demanding operational conditions.

These multi-mode fiber optic cables provide a high level of crush protection similar to the Simplex versions while drastically reducing shrink back and the time required to terminate samples. Ideal for inside-the-box applications, our cables deliver unfailing signal transmission in the roughest military surroundings.
