All Resources For GORE® Automotive Vents for Fog Lamps

Fog lamps are used as standard safety equipment or for aesthetic appeal in much of the global automotive marketplace. But they may fail prematurely in climates where heat/cooling cycles and humidity cause significant pressure differentials. A rapid drop in temperature can cause a sudden decrease in internal lamp pressure, which can draw in water, dirt, dust and debris. These contaminants can negatively impact the performance and life of fog lamps.

GORE Automotive Vents for fog lamps are engineered to withstand the harshest environmental conditions. The unique construction of our ePTFE vents:

  • provides rapid pressure equalization
  • prevents ingress of moisture and contaminants
  • eliminates the need to add protective caps or coverings
  • is designed to adhere to all lamp housing geometries
  • maintains adhesion under elevated fog-lamp temperatures and life

For more than 20 years, Gore has partnered with global OEMs and Tier-1 lighting suppliers to advance fog lamp design and reliability. They rely on our fog lamp venting experience, just as the integrity of their products relies on our vents.
