Redefining Stroke Prevention
One Patient’s Story
Runner Kathryn Dunning has long relied on GORE-TEX Products to protect her from the elements. But she never guessed that Gore’s technology would also mend her heart. After suffering a stroke related to a common heart defect, Kathryn went through months of medical appointments to determine the best path forward. When a doctor showed her our minimally invasive solution, the decision became clear.

GORE Low Pressure Evacuation Vents
Enabling lighter leaner battery packs in electric cars
The number of newly registered electric vehicles worldwide exceeded the two million mark in 2018. Powered by lithium-ion batteries, they offer a clean alternative to combustion engines. A new Gore vent reduces the weight and cost of next generation lithium-ion battery components and provides prompt relief of pressure build-up. It also protects against dust, dirt and water that could otherwise result in electrical issues and battery failure.
