GORE™ Valve Stem Packing is manufactured using Gore's unique, proprietary expanded PTFE. In this process the material takes on a fibrous structure which minimises the cold flow experienced with full density PTFE. Because of the low friction co-efficient, wear on the valve stem is reduced and the valve runs smoothly. Due to the conformability of the packing, a good seal is achieved even with worn valve stems.

Technical Data: Material: 100% expanded PTFE, free from asbestos or any other lumg-damaging component Temperature Range: -240°C to +270°C, for short periods to +315°C Chemical Resistance: Unaffected by most chemicals in the pH 0-14 range except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine and high temperatures and pressures. Stability: GORE™ Valve Stem Packing is not subject to ageing and can be stored indefinitely
