GORE™ Protective Vents can be used in a variety of industries.

Domestic appliances are exposed to battery gas emissions, temperature, and pressure changes. GORE™ Protective Vents ensure constant battery gas relief and equalize pressure inside the enclosure, while protecting the appliance from contaminants such as water, soap, dust and dirt.

Lighting enclosures are exposed to temperature and pressure changes. GORE™ Protective Vents protect against the negative effects of pressure differentials. They provide an effective barrier against harsh weather conditions (rain, snow, high winds). The vents allow water vapor to exit quickly and reduce the likelihood of condensation on the lens.

Changing temperatures, dust, salt, and moisture considerably impact the electronics of marine equipment. GORE™ Protective Vents effectively protect engine controls, gauges and depth finders against the negative effects of pressure differentials. They reduce stress on the enclosure seals and protect against condensation and fogging.

Active consumers expect laptop computers, PDAs, two-way radios and other devices to function in any environment. They must withstand water, dust, liquids and harsh weather without compromising their performance and reliability. GORE™ Protective Vents equalize internal pressure and prevent contaminants form entering, while preserving sound transmission quality.

Advances in technology allow sensors to be used in harsh environments. GORE™ Protective Vents provide a barrier against dust, dirt, and liquids. At the same time the vents allow a free flow of gases, preventing inaccuracy and delays in measurement results.

Equipment used in the telecommunications industry is subjected to rapid temperature fluctuations, a variety of particulates, and exposure to wind, precipitation and solar radiation. GORE™ Protective Vents effectively protect against the negative effects of pressure differentials caused by temperature changes and provide an effective barrier against dust, water, salts and other corrosive liquids.
