Pressure Equalization
All types of electronic enclosures used outdoors are subjected to temperature fluctuations and to wind, precipitation, and solar radiation. A sudden drop in temperature due to a rainstorm can cause a 200 mbar (3 psi) vacuum inside the enclosure. GORE® Protective Vents enable pressure equalization, preventing the ingress of air and moisture around seals and preserving the seal's integrity.
