The problem: Exposure to the elements can reduce the effectiveness of solar equipment.

Rapid changes in temperature from component heat dissipation and weather conditions can cause dramatic pressure drops within solar equipment. This leads to the deflection of CPV panel lenses and places a great deal of stress on the seals of junction boxes, power inverters, thermo collectors and CPV modules.

The solution: Extend service life and protect performance by equalizing pressure.

GORE® Protective Vents allow air to flow freely in and out of solar equipment enclosures to equalize internal pressure. At the same time, they prevent dirt, salt, water and other corrosive liquids from entering the enclosures, so performance is optimized while maintenance costs and warranty claims are reduced.
