Cap Liners provide liquid resistance and airflow for containers

The 3FL Cap Liner from Gore helps to equalize pressure and prevent contamination for containers and bottles that could otherwise bloat, collapse or leak. These unique inserts for cap and closures seal to the container and provide consistently high airflow for venting and excellent liquid resistance to prevent leakage while maintaining container integrity.

The science behind the solution

GORE® Packaging Vents offer the best combination of liquid resistance and airflow through the use of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). The chemically inert GORE™ Membrane is designed to:

  • Prevent liquid penetration of chemicals with strong formulations and aggressive additives
  • Equalize pressure in containers by delivering consistently high airflow
  • Maintain container integrity

 

 

3FL-353 Construction

3-layer construction consisting of:

  • GORE™ ePTFE Membrane (in contact with liquid)
  • Perforated polyethylene foam layer
  • Porous polymer layer (yellow color)

3FL-353 Installation

Can be glued or applied as a friction-fit in the cap.
No hole required in cap.

3FL-323 Construction

2-layer construction consisting of:

  • GORE™ ePTFE Membrane (in contact with liquid)
  • Perforated polyethylene foam layer
