Active Ingredients

Liquids that contain certain active ingredients can emit significant amounts of gases within their containers causing them to bloat or leak.

Liquids that contain certain active ingredients can emit significant amounts of gases within their containers causing them to bloat or leak. Other ingredients will consume the airspace within a container, causing it to panel or collapse. These situations can lead to damage or loss of labels, jeopardizing regulatory compliance. For potent chemicals, labels serve as an important way to communicate important warning information.

Container Venting for Challenging Chemicals

When integrated into a container design, ePTFE membrane from Gore allows for the release of gases, both inside and outside of the container, without letting liquid penetrate the venting membrane. The microporous structure allows for the free exchange of airflow while preventing contaminants from entering the package and affecting the product. Venting with GORE™ Membrane provides an added level of safety by preventing leakage, allowing containers to maintain their shape and labels to stay intact.
