GORE™ LYOGUARD® Freeze-Drying Containers

Lyoguard Container

Enable easier and more efficient multi-product processing

Preventing cross-contamination of products during research and development work is often a concern. Freeze-drying in open trays, containers or vials can lead to contamination of laboratory freeze-drying equipment that can be difficult to clean.

In situations where a lyophilizer may need to be used for multiple products, GORE™ LYOGUARD® Freeze-Drying Containers can significantly reduce the risk of cross-contamination and product loss due to fly-out. These features help to provide:

  • Increased consistency and accuracy of results during research and testing
  • Maintained purity and sterility of early phase compounds being studied
  • Reduced costs and time associated with cleaning, and often sterilizing, between each run

Realize the Benefits of GORE™ LYOGUARD® Freeze-Drying Containers

GORE™ LYOGUARD® Freeze-Drying Containers are constructed of polypropylene and expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). The microporous ePTFE membrane is incorporated in a removable screw-top, protecting the product from cross-contamination and offering the perfect balance between vapor transmission rate and barrier properties. The ePTFE tray surface is:

  • chemically inert
  • liquid resistant / hydrophobic
  • biocompatible
  • non-particulating
  • thermal stable
