Ease of Use
GORE® GFO® Packing installs easily. It cuts without fraying. Pliable, easy to wrap around a shaft and insert into a stuffing box. It won't harden, swell or become brittle, so it's easy to remove. With minimal thermal expansion, GORE® GFO® Packing seats itself readily, eliminating tedious break-in procedures.
Cooler running
GORE® GFO® Packing dissipates frictional heat and is cool running, even after extended periods of continuous operation at very high shaft speeds. Sealing surfaces will not break down. Leakage is controlled. And shaft sleeves are protected against heat damage.
Versatile & cost-effective
Because GORE® GFO® Packing is so durable and lasts so long, its in-use cost is much lower. Since the packing itself represents only 3% of the total cost of re-packing a pump, the real savings gained by a longer running pump is many times greater. GORE® GFO® Packing can be used in many pumps - centrifugal, rotary, turbine and reciprocating. Also useful with valves, agitators, mixers, dryers and refiners.
