Summary

Prior to testing a potential new solution, ring gaskets had been used in a titanium spiral heat exchanger. These were expensive and difficult to use.

GORE™ Series 300 Gasket Tape, the most dimensionally stable and creep resistant form-in-place gasket, was used.

Result

GORE™ Series 300 Gasket Tape reliably sealed the heat exchanger and lowered total sealing cost versus the experience with expensive ring gaskets. Using this product also simplified installation, transportation, and gasket storage.
