A power utility company in the pacific northwest was operating a 50 MVA transformer. Long term exposure to sunlight and oil caused gaskets to crack, resulting in leaking transformer oil. GORE® Series 600 Gasket Tape was used.
Operating outdoors at a temperature range of -10°F to +125°F, at five psi, the GORE® Series 600 Gasket Tape sealed the transformer, saving installation time, and stayed sealed significantly longer.
