The GORE™ Survey (GORE-SORBER® Screening Survey):
-
Proven, accurate, and comprehensive passive vapor sampling service.
-
Utilized in all 50 states and in many countries worldwide.
-
Samples volatile and semi-volatile compounds in air, soil gas, and water.
-
-
-
Fits Triad
-
Routinely written into RF/RI workplans at state and federal levels.
-
Focuses subsequent sampling by MIPs, rapid on-site sampling techniques, and conventional soil and water sampling methods.
The GORE™ Survey relies on the GORE™ Module, a patented, passive sampler. The Module is constructed of a GORE-TEX® membrane tube, a chemically-inert, waterproof, yet vapor-permeable membrane, which houses engineered sorbents. Target compounds present in air or soil gas, migrate unimpeded through the tube to the sorbents. When placed in water, dissolved compounds partition to vapor across the membrane and are captured by the sorbent.
The GORE™ Module can be deployed in virtually any site setting including unsaturated and saturated, coarse- to fine-grained soils and sediments, beneath building slabs, and in air (indoor and outdoor). GORE™ Surveys have been conducted in wide range of site settings including permafrost environments, tropical rainforests, temperate mid-latitude environments, and deserts.
The GORE™ Survey includes GORE™ Modules, analysis, data reporting in spreadsheet format, contaminant contour mapping (where required), and a final report, in paper and electronic formats.
