Pristyne
Fiberglass Filter Media
Fiberglass is appropriate for high temperature applications (up to 500°F/260°C). It is strongly discouraged for applications where HF is present.

Pristyne
Aramid Filter Media
Aramid has a temperature limitation of 400°F/204°C and is resistant to acid attack and hydrolysis at low temperatures. Caution should be used with Aramid in a higher temperature application when moisture or acids are present in the gas stream.

Pristyne
Polypropylene Filter Media
Polypropylene is used for lower temperature applications (up to 160°F/71°C). It is capable of withstanding low to medium levels of acids and bases.

Pristyne
Polyester Filter Media
Polyester can be used in applications up to 275°F/135°C under dry conditions. It is not recommended for high humidity/acid applications where temperatures are elevated due to hydrolysis of the fibers.

Pristyne
PPS Filter Media
PPS is limited to 375°F/190°C. PPS being a more stable polymer, it provides better acid resistance, compared to Aramid, at higher temperatures. PPS is subject to oxidation at high O2 levels.

Pristyne
Acrylic Filter Media
Acrylic is limited to 260°F/125°C. It is not very resistant to temperature excursions. Acrylic can be used in mild acid applications. It is beneficial in applications with frequent dew point excursions and/or high relative humidity.

Pristyne
Woven RASTEX® Filter Media
RASTEX® PTFE fiber is beneficial in high temperature applications (up to 500°F/260°C). It is useful for chemically aggressive environments due to PTFE’s resistance to chemical attack.
