Optimization Potential

Polyester bags used in spray dryer baghouse were experiencing breakage at seams, and tears due to cage wires. This resulted in high emissions and pressure drops of 20 millibar.

Solution

Bags were replaced with GORE™ High Durability Anti-static Polyester filters with sealed seams. Baghouse was optimized for new filters and lower pressure drop.

Results

After installation of GORE™ High Durability Filters plant engineers reported much lower emissions and pressure drop reduction to 3,5 millibars.
