Calcium Hypochloride
Production process vented to a wet scrubber which was followed by a packed column. Excessive emissions from previously installed filters caused frequent clogging in packed column. This required system shutdown for cleaning, loss of production, and compromised recovery of dry saleable products.
Gore technical team performed extensive slip stream collector testing and recommended installation of new collector with GORE™ ePTFE membrane and ePTFE felt backing materials.
After installation of GORE™ all ePTFE bags and optimization of system setting by Gore technicians, filter emissions dropped to near zero for remainder of bag life. System downtime was eliminated and income from additional production increases paid for cost of optimization project. Filter life reached 8 years with near zero emissions and stable pressure drop of 800–1.000 Pa.
