Fume collection from a Platinum furnace
The customer operates a furnace in which precious metal scrap is molten. Platinum is made available for recycling. The fumes of this furnace still contain some Platinum dust which the customer wanted to recover.
A collection system for the off gas fumes has been installed. All collected gas streams are combined and filtered in a dust collector. This collector utilizes high efficient GORE™SINBRAN® Filters.
After only half a year of operation, the amount of collected and recycled dust added up to about 1 kg – worth more than the SINBRAN® filters had cost.
