At 10/1 air-to-cloth, emissions through the system were visibly excessive. Downstream filters were installed, but their replacement and maintenance costs were prohibitive. Neither reduced pulse pressure nor extended cleaning intervals corrected the problem.
Installed GORE® membrane/polyester felt filter bags.
Emissions into the plant have been eliminated. Downstream filter replacement and/or maintenance has been eliminated. Housekeeping costs related to dust-collection performance have been eliminated. The differential pressure across the original set of GORE-TEX membrane filter bags installed in September 1981 is being consistently maintained at 1.6" H2O.
