Optimization Potential

The plant was experiencing restricted production and short bag life. The existing baghouse was experiencing rapid buildup of DP to more than 10" within three-to-four months. Particle penetration in the conventional media was the main problem, with particle size ranging from 0.5 to 2.0 microns. Downtime from frequent bag changeout also created losses in productivity.

Solution

A full set of GORE® membrane/Nomex® felt filter bags was installed.

Results

DP across the bags has been maintained at 3.5" of water since installation. Consistent production rates have been achieved and maintenance has been minimized.
