GORE-SHIELD® SMT EMI Gaskets

GORE-SHIELD® SMT EMI gaskets and RF grounding pads are the only SMT-compatible EMI gasket shielding solution. This inexpensive discrete pad consists of a high-performance, electrically conductive elastomeric gasket, securely fastened to a solderable metal shim. Parts are available in a range of standard sizes and thicknesses and are supplied in EIA-standard tape-and-reel, ready for installation onto your PCB using existing SMT equipment.

GORE-SHIELD® SMT EMI gaskets and RF grounding pads are used in a variety of applications, from portable handsets to wireless base stations and power amplifiers-anywhere that discrete electrical contact is needed. GORE-SHIELD® SMT grounding pads can also be used in RF applications such as antenna interconnects, resulting in reduced signal reflections and EMI shielding that is superior to metal spring contacts.

GORE-SHIELD® SMT EMI gaskets and RF grounding pads are ideal as a cost-reduction for continuous form-in-place gaskets, or to eliminate the labor associated with installing metal spring finger clips, fabric-over-foam pads, and conductive silicone tubing.
