GORE™ 0.085 inch Flexible Microwave / RF Coaxial Assemblies
The GORE 0.085 in. microwave coaxial assembly family combines density, flexibility, and high electrical performance in a single, easy-to-install package. It is well suited for all high-density needs, including space, air, and ground applications.
Features and benefits
- Excellent flex properties, ideal for tight routing situations
- Exceptional phase properties
- Shielding better than 90 dB/ft through 18 GHz
- Excellent low-torque requirements
Semi-rigid replacements
The Gore Model 89 0.085 in. solid center conductor cable is the ideal replacement for tightly routed, semi-rigid assemblies within line replacement units (LRUs) and black boxes. Easy routing makes products easier to manufacture and eliminates the need for installation sequences and three-dimensional drawings.
Phase properties
All of our cables exhibit excellent phase properties. Phase change versus temperature is typically rated at 800 PPM from 65°C through +100°C.
High-flex/low-torque assemblies
Gore's Model 4T assembly, a 0.085 in. stranded center conductor cable, provides low resistance to movement (low torque), a necessity for many gimbaled-seeker applications. These assemblies are ideal for use where drive motors are small and require very limp, low-loss microwave coaxial assemblies.
Shielding effectiveness
Gore assemblies use helically wrapped foil shields and termination methods that provide shielding effectiveness greater than 90 dB/ft through 18 GHz using the mode stirred method per Mil-Std-1344, Method 3008.
