GORE 0.047 in. Flexible Microwave Coaxial Cable Assemblies provide a typical attenuation of 1.6 dB/ft and a guaranteed insertion loss of 2.0 dB for a one-foot assembly. Its small, 0.047 in. nominal diameter and 0.25 in. minimum bend radius, combined with its low-dielectric-constant materials, not only allow more signal lines per area, but also deliver better electrical performance than comparable configurations. This puts density, flexibility, and high electrical performance in a single, easy-to-install assembly. At 3.0 grams/ft nominal, the 4L cable is ideal for space and airborne applications where weight is a critical factor.

Gore Model 4L assemblies are an excellent alternative to short, semi-rigid assemblies. Semi-rigid assemblies are difficult to install and repair in tight spaces, a problem that often requires costly configuration drawings and precision prebending. Due to our cable's low mass and excellent flexibility, there is no need to clamp the cable down for vibration proofing.
Our assemblies use helically wrapped foil shields and termination methods, a combination that provides shielding effectiveness of greater than 90 dB/foot through 18 GHz, using the mode-stirred method per Mil-Std-1344, Method 3008.
