GORE® Microminiature Flat Cables are small pitch, low profile flat cables designed for unique signal density and well controlled electrical performance, with typical wire gauges of AWG 46 and AWG 48.

These cables are well-suited for applications where a high number of signals must travel through very small spaces or highest packaging density is required.


Applications

Typical applications are those with tight space limitations, such as industrial video inspection scopes and devices where the connection of sensors (including pressure sensors, flow sensors or CMOS digital imaging sensors), or other connections outside the device is required.

  • Very tight and non-accumulative (over number of wires) pitch tolerance guarantees that the electrical properties are maintained throughout the entire length of the cable
  • Available as bulk cable, with prepped termination windows, and as assembled units
  • Assemblies can be terminated to customer designed circuits or to fanout boards
  • Can be produced in lengths up to 100m with prepped termination windows and cut to length
  • Pieces are held by a low tack pressure sensitive adhesive film and spooled on reels
  • Better DC reistance values than interconnects with rectangular conductors and similar packaging density
  • Tighter bend radii compared with flexible printed circuit boards as well as a one-time crease for installation
