Deutsch Fiber Optic Multiway Connectors

Gore offers assemblies using a variety of connector families: MC3, MC5, RCS, 38999 and MT. Besides offering these connectors as options on assemblies, Gore is partnering with Deutsch Ltd. to distribute MC3, MC5 and RSC connectors in the United States and Canada.

The Deutsch connector families available through Gore include MC3, MC5 and RSC. Connectors are available in a variety of styles from singleway to thirty way, singlemode to multimode, and connector styles including but not limited to receptacle pin, plug socket, receptacle socket, plug pin, jamnut socket, and jamnut pin.

All Deutsch connectors are designed specifically for reliable and consistent performance in conditions that can vary greatly. To achieve this, such features as rear insertable/removable optical contacts and a removable alignment sleeve for simple cleaning are incorporated. The reliable performance of RSC ruggedized singleway connectors has been proven on major military programs since the 1980’s. Based on the proven performance of RSC connector technology, the MC3 connector system can have up to 14 optical contacts in a single MIL-C-38999 style connector. The MC5 connector is the latest evolution in Deutsch fiber optic connectors. With a 1.25 mm ferrule based on the widely-used LC connector, the MC5 can accept up to 30 optical contacts and offers all the performance attributes of the MC3 at twice the density.
