GORE™ Controlled-Impedance Shielded Twisted Pair
Gore manufactures a broad range of standard and custom controlled-impedance shielded twisted pair wire. All versions benefit from Gore's 40 years of vertical integration of fluoropolymer material development, highly evolved tape wrap process, and design expertise.
GORE™ Controlled-Impedance Shielded Twisted Pair Wire is especially suited for mil/aero harness applications due to its small size, wide temperature range, non-flammable and non-outgassing materials, and resistance to fluids and chemicals. Gore's standard wire offers impedance of 100Ω or 120Ω, and other impedance options are available on custom wire. The Tefzel® outer jacket offers improved radiation resistance. The construction of the wire uses hybrid PTFE over ePTFE insulation for compactness and easy stripping.

Gore specializes in high-performance custom solutions
Gore manufactures a range of standard cable, but we also offer custom solutions. The impedance of a standard wire is 100Ω and 120Ω (standard impedance tolerance is ±10Ω), but any other value can be offered. Gore can manufacture and wrap extreme-uniformity fluoropolymer tapes to offer impedance control as tight as two percent over the entire cable length. Additional options are available for GORE Controlled-Impedance Shielded Twisted Pair Wire. Custom color-coding and striping are available upon request. High-strength alloy conductors are also available with this wire. Price quotes are available for special sizes or performance characteristics.
Reduced cable size and increased durability
Gore is also uniquely capable of offering high-integrity, ultra-thin insulation material such as GORE™ High Strength Toughened Fluoropolymer. This insulation offers additional benefits, including minimum possible diameter for space savings, increased flexibility, light weight, and unparalleled scrape and cut-through resistance.
