Gore Sponsors the First WINDSTOPPER® Trailrun Worldmasters


An event for all ambitious trail, marathon, mountain, triathlon and long-distance runners, the first "WINDSTOPPER® Trailrun Worldmasters" will take place November 6-8, 2009, in Dortmund, Germany. Over the three days, the athletes will be faced with a very special challenge, running 54 kilometres at an altitude of more than 1000 metres.

The runners, who represent several different disciplines, can measure their performances each other: mountain runners against marathon runners, trail runners against light athletes, sprinters against ultra-runners, and leisure-time runners close on the heels of the experts.

Given the frequently changing weather conditions and level of activity they will encounter during the event, the runners will appreciate the advantages of wearing WINDSTOPPER® clothing. The highly breathable and windtight jackets, sleeveless jackets, pants, and shirts will be supplied by the most well-known manufacturers of running clothes such as Asics, Adidas, Craft, Puma, Salomon or GORE RUNNING WEAR™.

As an incentive, there will be prize money of Euro 20,000.
