GORE™ RIDE ON® Cable Systems Available in the U.S. and Europe

NEWARK, DE (Feb. 14, 2008) – A new version of the market-leading GORE™ RIDE ON® Cable Systems is now available in premium bike shops throughout the U.S. and Europe, following highly successful product launches at the Eurobike trade exhibition in Germany and the Interbike trade exhibition in Nevada.

The cables, developed by W. L. Gore & Associates, offer lower friction, easier shifting, smoother braking and better protection from debris than competing products. These capabilities make the GORE™ RIDE ON® Cable Systems a longer lasting alternative to standard bike cables.

The original version of GORE™ RIDE ON® Cable Systems launched in 1993 and quickly gained a loyal following. After a market hiatus and much demand, W. L. Gore & Associates introduced the new version, which features all the benefits of the original system, as well as several enhancements, including increased durability and easier installation.

The product’s unique low friction cable coating provides cyclists with the quickest, most accurate shifting and the most predictable, effortless braking — regardless of riding conditions.
