Gore to Distribute Datascope Corp.’s InterVascular Products in U.S.

FLAGSTAFF, AZ (March 28, 2005) - W. L. Gore & Asssociates, Inc. (Gore), the leading manufacturer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) vascular grafts, announced today an agreement with Datascope Corp. to exclusively distribute the entire InterVascular portfolio of polyester products available for sale in the United States.

Internationally, the InterVascular product line will continue to be marketed by InterVascular's dedicated sales professionals and exclusive distributors in Europe, and by a distribution network outside of Europe. InterVascular is a wholly owned subsidiary of Datascope Corp.

Domestically, Gore will directly distribute the InterVascular products through its U.S. Vascular Surgery Sales Team.

The InterVascular product line includes the INTERGARD collagen coated knitted and woven graft configurations for thoracic, abdominal and peripheral vascular procedures, as well as the HEMACAROTID and HEMAPATCH cardiovascular patches. The distribution agreement also includes the new INTERGARD Heparin product, a heparin bonded polyester graft.

"U.S. distribution of the excellent InterVascular product portfolio is compatible with Gore's objective to offer the largest selection of surgical and interventional device options for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease," said Thom O'Hara, Gore Medical Marketing Director.

This announcement comes as Gore celebrates the 30th Anniversary of its introduction of the GORE-TEX® Vascular Graft.  Since then, more than 12 million GORE Medical Devices have been implanted worldwide.  "From our beginning in the mid-70s, Gore Medical has played a major role in the repair and replacement of diseased blood vessels," said O'Hara.

In the last few years, Gore has expanded its vascular product portfolio to include endovascular products. In addition to providing products made from ePTFE and polyester, Gore Medical manufactures hundreds of configurations of other implantable devices composed of either Nitinol or bioabsorbable materials.

In addition to the InterVascular product line, Datascope Corp. manufactures proprietary products for clinical health care markets in interventional cardiology and radiology, anesthesiology, cardiovascular and vascular surgery, emergency medicine and critical care.
