New South Wales, Australia (April 28, 2009)--W. L. Gore & Associates Australia has launched the recruitment drive for its first local team of GORE-TEX® product Gear Testers and is asking Australians and New Zealanders "Have you got what it takes?"
Scouring every corner of Australian and New Zealand, W. L. Gore is searching for everyday people who regularly participate in outdoor activities to review the latest GORE-TEX® clothing, footwear and accessories.
Michelle Tayler from W. L. Gore & Associates Australia anticipates that competition for the limited number of team spots will be fierce. "Imagine being part of an exclusive team, receiving free GORE-TEX® products to test, being the first to know about the latest in outerwear technology, rubbing shoulders with adventure pros and having the chance to win an amazing Peregrine Adventures holiday – this is the envious opportunity on offer."
"We are looking for outgoing and motivated applicants who have a real passion for the outdoors and a genuine interest in what GORE-TEX® products has to offer. So if the outdoors is your playground, you’re already halfway there."

If selected as a team member, successful applicants will receive free GORE-TEX® products to test during their regular outdoor activities from July to October. In return, they’ll be expected to captivate an online audience with reports on their adventures and the gear that got them through it.
As an added incentive, at the conclusion of the testing period the team member chosen by the public to have inspired them the most will win a $4000 Peregrine Adventures voucher to spend on the holiday of their choice.
The two-stage application process kicks off in May with interested applicants invited to complete an online application form before 19th June 2009. Short-listed applicants will then undergo an interview process before the 2009 team of GORE-TEX Gear Testers will be announced in early July.
