Copper Cable Assemblies for High-Speed Backplane Connector Systems

Using ePTFE with a dielectric constant of 1.3 allows for more than a 20% reduction in cable diameter over and insulation with a 2.2 dielectric constant. This supports development of copper cable assemblies for high-speed backplane connector systems (10Gbits/s and beyond).
